Christmas 2008

This Christmas was a very laid back Christmas. We started the evening, on the 24th, with Ty's family. We had dinner with the Hintze's and then watched the Nativity story. Then we headed over to Carlisle to Grandma and Grandpa Greenway's house to celebrate. After putting Isaac down for the night, Mom and Dad got busy putting Christmas together.

This was the result.

For Christmas this year we decided that Isaac needed his own toy trains. Fisher Price makes these cool toys called Geotrax. It has train tracks, roads and they have even come up with a way to have airplanes fly around. It all interconnects and you can end up with HUGE layouts. We got him enough that he can enjoy it, and if he loves it we can get more.

Christmas Day was very laid back. There were 5 adults (Uncle Joel, Grandpa Greenway, Grandma Greenway, Mom and Dad) and 1 child, Isaac. It was great not getting up until 7ish, meandering into the living room and then enjoying opening the presents at a leisurely pace.

Being laid back was probably a good thing, 'cause Isaac opened his presents 1 piece of paper at a time. It was hilarious to watch. He didn't quite grasp the concept of "tearing" open the present to see what was inside. He just enjoyed shredding the paper.
