Hats

Isaac hates hats. Hats of all kinds. He likes to play with them. He likes to throw them. He even likes to put them on other people's heads. But don't ask him to put one on his own head. Doesn't happen. It stays on for about a millisecond and then it is gone with additional screaming and fussing. So, when he put this hat on his head all by himself and then left it on and enjoyed wearing it, we had to take a picture! He even seems to be, dare I say, happy!!!

Big Bed for Isaac

One of our "big" projects this year is getting Isaac to sleep in his "big boy" bed. When we first had the idea, we found a book called A Big Bed for Jed. It talks about a little boy transitioning from a crib into a big bed. That has become Isaac's favorite book in the whole world. We have to read it everyday (sometimes twice) before naptime. Then we moved the "big boy" bed into his room. I think, at first, it was a novelty. He wanted to sleep in it all of the time. We actually got him to spend most of the night in it. (He woke up at 5 am and freaked out because he didn't know where he was). That lasted a whole week or so. Now, he likes to lay on it but would much rather sleep in his crib. Oh well, someday . . .
