Our trip to Disney World

In case you didn't know, we decided that this would be the year that we took the kids to Disney World. We decided that Sadie wasn't quite two (so we wouldn't have to pay for her) but close enough to have fun AND Isaac has been wanting to go "where Mickey lives" for a long time. So we went. We flew down on January 9th and came home on January 13th. We had a great time!! Here are some pictures of our adventures.
I'll do more pictures when I have a minute. But, for now, enjoy!

Christmas 2011

This year was a low key, quiet Christmas. All of our family was out of town or out of the country so it was just the four of us.
We started out the season making cookies. Isaac helped for a while and then he decided that he like playing with the cookie dough more than cutting out shapes. He did cut out a few, but for the most part he played with the cookie dough/play dough.

We also made our pilgrimage to see Santa Claus. Isaac sat on his lap and gave him a list of toys that he wanted. None of which he'd mentioned before and, due to the fact that most of Christmas was going towards our trip to Disney World, none of which he would be getting. I had to do a lot of fast talking about how sometimes kids ask for things and they don't get them, etc. etc. etc. Sadie, on the other hand, refused to go anywhere near the man (I mean elf!)

Isaac also had his first school concert. I figured that because I would have Sadie with me, I wouldn't be able to take too many pictures. I was right. I barely had a chance to listen to his class performance let alone take many pictures. With this in mind, I took a picture of him all dressed up for his performance.

Sadie didn't want to be left out of the picture taking. So here is a shot of her on Isaac's performance day.

On Christmas Eve, like just about every other household in America, we left a treat for Santa and his reindeer. Here is a picture of Isaac and Ty reading the Thank You note that Santa left.

Isaac was not disappointed on Christmas morning. He got a lot of fun things. Mostly puzzles and legos. He also got a drawing sheet that hangs on your wall and glows in the day and glows in the dark. He loves it and we love that he gets to be creative.

Sadie was super easy to please. She loves to pretend that she is cooking, eating and taking care of her babies. So she got a table and chairs, a baby, a tea-set and a big girl bed. She loved to just lay down on her bed and pretend to sleep. One of these weekends the crib will disappear and we will have to figure out how to really get her to sleep in it. But, we will save that for AFTER Disney World.
